Where is temp sending unit

Where is temp sending unit

Can somebody tell me where the temp sending unit is on the 2007 4.2? Have to hook up the spal fan control and can't find the sending unit. Thanks

If it's like the 5.4s. it's internal and is connected to the PCM. No external sending unit.

how would i go about changing the coolant?

They don't use a temp sender. It has a cylinder head temp sensor located in the rear of the left cylinder head. It sends a signal to the pcm and the pcm sends a signal to the instrument cluster over the network to work the temp gauge. Changing the coolant doesn't involve the sender unless you were removing it to minimize the air pockets.

what hoses do i unhook and do i have to put in a new thermatat like the older vehicles?
