4.2L Stumble

Everyone,
My 97 4.2L F150 did the dreaded hydrolock about 6 months ago. I replaced the gaskets and everything has been good for a while.

Recently, the truck has developed a stumble at low RPMs. I state stumble instead of miss, because it is almost like the engine shuts off for about a .5 second. Today, I checked the plugs, but the all look fine. The truck idles ok, and once it is warm seems to run ok except when at the bottom of the RPM range. For example, when I shift to 4th gear, I can feel the engine stumble.

I thought that something may have come loose from my repairs, but I did not see anything during my inspection today. It almost feels as if the flaps in the lower intake are not actuating correctly.

I would appreciate any help you could lend,

Jason

id drain the oil and make sure theres no coolant in it! other than that its a really wierd discription. Is the CEL on? If so then get it checked. What about the coil? Is it good possibly going bad. Dirty EGR's? Try cleaning your MAF, and Throttle body.
