I like the way that sounds, which muffler was it exactly? I'm guessing a center/center 2.5 in/out?

I have a delta 40 dumped that I'm planning on removing because its old and my exhaust needs some work and I think I might do the same thing as you

4.2l- yeah it sounds better when its in drive with a load on it. i know the tip isnt for everyone, i originaly wanted just a slash tip but i love the black chrome and i think the oval shape flows better with a more curvy truck like we have.

thanks dirty

Its a shame our muffler shops around here can't do work like that.

my muffler shop crushed a 2.5 muffler to get it to fit on a 2.25 pipe.

I have a quick question:

I was looking at the circular muffler compared to the oval one and have heard the circular one is louder. Anybody know if this is true?

Also which would work better for our trucks or are they both basically the same?

have have an oval SI/DO on mine...but ive never heard an circular one....

i have a vid in my sig, if you want to check it out. Its not the best cuz it was alittle windy, but it works.

im thinking of duct taping my camera to my bumper and going for a drive, to show what it sounds like in gear....would this be a good idea??

ive only heard a round one on v8s. i would assume it would be the same as the other mufflers, just louder cause theres less padding to muffle it. i almost think my muffler is too quiet but its just starting to get broken in so well see.

[QUOTE=madmaxwell87;3170887]i just got my 4x9x14" oval magnaflow welded on today. out the door with the tip it was $175, not too bad since the tip was suposed to be $75 by itself. it sounds awesome. i know itll break in and be a little deeper but i love how it sounds now. its a v6 for sure but its got a nice deep tone and doesnt sound ricey in the upper rpms. i also got a black chrome oval tip welded on and it looks awesome with my black and red theme going.
