I made a mistake and now don't know how to fix it
hi guys I have a 98 F150 with 145K 4.2L Mannual and I had a miss in a cylinder so i replaced the plug wires and made the mistake of pulling them all off at once. dumb right? but the problem is that i put the wires on wrong and then drove it. then once i realized that i flooded the motor and the timing got changed. i have put new plugs and a coil pack on it also. after got it started back up it runs really rough and won't idle and very hard to start, so how do i get the timing back? or what do you think happened?
I believe the sequence diagram for where the plug wires go on the coil pack is right on the pack itself... it is kind a skewed... but if you look at it, write it down on a postit note or something in the correct order according to each plug.
I think it's something like:
13 5
24 6
Is what it says on the coil pack.

hey guys thanks for the help, the coil reads 1 2 3
5 6 4
but the motor is still not firing correctly. when trying to start the and when it fires durning cranking it over the engine almost stops. also the passenger side exhaust system turn bright red after a few minutes of running.
