As I stated in another thread I'm putting a new motor into my '02. The buddy helping me said that his parents had a simiar vehicle (2001 V6) and when they left the battery disconnected for long period of time, they had to go to the dealership and get it reprogrammed. My friend swears up and down that this was a probelm for the 2001 model.

So in my 02 the battery has been disconnected for about 2 weeks now. Do I need to worry? I thought all the newer vehicles had self teaching computers.

I called a couple of dealerships and one syas yes I do and the other says no.

So what gives?
