Asking for help one more time.

Hello to all,

This time it is my wife's car and not my truck but maybe i can get some advice. The car is a 1999 Ford Taurus 3.0 V6 I am getting code p0303 misfire cylinder 3
I have search the board but nothing that I found pertains to my situation. I can tell it has a misfire, it has alot of white smoke coming from the tail pipe, and it smells like rotting eggs any ideas what it may be. Thanks yall for the help.

The smoke & sulfur odor may be a bad catalytic converter.

Even if the cat is bad, you have to figure out what is behind that as well...

You need to pull that plug, read it, and diagnose from there. I guess white smoke signals coolant in the combustion chamber, but reading that particular plug would verify that. Not sure how bad the 3.slow--either the Vulcan OHV or Duratec OHC v6s--are with intake or head gaskets as of late...
