Will the mass air flow sensor off of a 3.0 or 4.0 Ford Ranger V-6 fit the 4.2 V-6. Or will the sensor for the 4.6 fit the 4.2.

Hmm.. iffy at best.

Even if they physically fit, and had mating connectors, they would still be uniquely calibrated for their original intended vehicle. If you skew the MAF TF the PCM is expecting, very BAD things happen.

Use the correct MAF for the vehicle. Don't gamble.
