Hey everybody,
I have some questions about an oil leak. I've got a 1992 f150 4wd with a 300 straight 6. I'm having to put in about 1 qt. every 1 to 2 weeks. I had my oil changed about a month ago and they said the gasket was leaking.

I couldn't get a clear answer from other post if I have to jack up the engine or not to replace the oil pan gasket. One post said for a 94 with 4wd you have to lower something instead of lifting the engine.

Also if I have to raise the engine, how do I do that?? One post said to disconnect the mounts, so does that mean that you need an engine hoist?

Thanks for any help!!!!! Also I'm not much of a mechanic so please dumb it down a little.
