I have a 96 F150 with a straight 6. THe problem is that I have an exhaust leak that is up near the engine. The shop told me they would have to remove parts from the engine to be able to get to it. I really don't want to dump a lot of money into trying to fix this exhaust leak.

My question is, is this hard to fix. I can do some work myself and was wondering if I can fix this myself? Has anyone had any experience with this?

 

in my experience the closer you get to the motor when it comes to exhaust work , the more of a pain in the a$$ it is. you have a broken manifold stud??
