i just got an 07 f150 xl short bed 4.2 v6 i would like to improve gas mileage and power (when i need it) i would like to get duel exhaust but how will it sound on a v6 does anyone have duels on there v6s and are they true duels or branch from 1 pipe into 2

 

well man i put a 40 series flowmaster and dumped it and it sounds great but as far as true duels.... i dont think you will like it its gonna sound a little like a pissed off honda. and on the gas milage you can put cold air intake system, if you wanna spend the money get a good tuner and of course you gotta give it a good tune up now and then!!

 

For better power and fuel economy, I'd suggest you go with a si/so magnaflow, and a K&N 77 series intake. Get the 14" magnaflow if you want it loud, or the 18" if you want it somewhat quiet. Good luck!
