New Muffler and tips installed
Hey all,
I just got a flo-pro muffler SI/DO installed on my 2006 F150 with the tips coming out the back at an angle and sounds very nice better than what I was expecting out of a V6..I'll post a link to a clip of how it sounds later tonite.

Sounds nice, I like.
Is everything else stock? I'm not familiar with your rig. Nor am I familiar with mine seeing how I just bought it 3 weeks ago and haven't driven it for the past 2 weeks. I'm going to assume I only have a single exhaust. How did you get two?

my truck is a 4.2L and everything is stock on it too....the way the exhaust was dual tipsis was using a muffler that had a single port in and having dual ports out and that's how I got dual tips
our 4.2's have dual exhaust but they come togther as one with a y-pipe they install from the factory, right after the cats I believe

FlowMaster
I have the identical truck as the one on Utube. It is a 2006 4.2L V6. The guy at my local "custom" muffler shop told me to go with Flowmaster so thats what i did. One pipe goes in and 2 out of the flowmaster. My Silverline Stainless steal tips exit infront of the rear tire. They are rectangle and look good. The muffler guy had a fancy F-150 and had pipes like yours though
. The sound is similar to yours but i think mine is deeper. idk if yours is loud in the cab but mine is. thats one bad thing about having the noise infront of the tires i guess.

I did mine the cheap way - replaced the stock muffler with a SI/SO Flopro V-Force and kept the stock pipes. $150 installed at Merlin's. It sounds healthy but not loud, no drone at all. My sister and nephew both have Flowmasters on their V6 Rangers with stock pipes and they drone too much.

I have straight piped dual glasspacks on my 97. I cut off the y pipe and ran it straight from the cats. They are a little raspy, but they are really loud. But that is the sound and effect I was goin for. I really like it.
