Troyer ignition kit?

Anyone use this?

Opinions, please. Thanks! I've got 62k miles, still on the factory plugs/wires, and will be taking a 5000 mile trip in April.

I dont know, not much more than Autolite plugs and motorcraft wires. But 8-10 hp. Hell, go for it, and let US know if its worth it.

Those #'s are only if you have never changed your plugs and wires.

So basically, any new set of plugs and wires will bring you back to stock HP, basically.

If using motorcraft, it will add as much as any new part would on a not so new engine.

I have heard the plugs were good but based on the price, I think i would go buy some good wires with a life time warranty. so you can replace the wires when ever you want.

This kit is actually cheaper than stock parts from what I can find - maybe the plugs are more expensive but I looked up a Motorcraft wireset at partsamerica.com (Advance Auto) and it's $98. However, cost is not the issue - are these parts any good? Is there any disadvantage to using them over stock parts? I always take performance increase claims with a grain of salt, I just don't want to LOSE performance. I plan on tweaking everything up before the trip anyway - tuneup, fuel filter, Amsoil fluid replacements.

After a little research finding a lifetime warranty set of wires is unheard of now days. Sorry for that info.

Just for pricing purposes the plugs themselves are $77 at autozone. So If you bought the troyer kit that leves $33 for the wires. Not a bad price

autozone carries the motorcraft wires for $49. SO wires and plugs at autozone will cost you $130.

In other words I would say that troyer has a good price for wires and plugs.

thanks glc for making me do a little research.

I will be getting the Troyer Ignition Kit along with an SCT tuner in about three weeks. Had to do something about my mpg also. It ranges from 14-16 in the city and about 20 on the highway. A fellow co-worker bought a tuner for his f150 and his mpg jumped to 23 in the city. Future mods: AF1 cai, magnaflow cats and dual exhaust from Troyer Performance, electric fan, undersize pulley, and 3.5" spindle lift kit.
