My 4.2 V6 Has a Miss

New member here.

A week ago I noticed an occasional miss/stumble in 1st and 2nd gear.
No engine warning light yet.
Took it to the garage and no codes came up on the diagnostic computer.
At 55,000 miles no parts have been changed.
The only thing done to the engine is injector cleaner and one fueling since the miss started. This did not change the miss.

Any help is appreciated.

Harry

had a similar issue and it turned otu to be ad plug wires. its about time for new plugs and wires on your truck anyways I would give that a shot.

Thank you for the reply.

Also at 55,000 miles I have never changed the fuel filter. Do you think that could cause the symptoms?

I replaced the fuel filter today and that fixed my problem. I'll change it every 30K from now on.

Inside the left frame rail just behind the front wheel well.
