fuel problems
car is a 1990 v6 ford pick up /with dule gas tanks only use one tank back has small leak fuel pump and filter has been replaced will run good if ideling it may die or if turned off it may not start back up then after day or two it will start and run fine for a week two weeks sometimes a month then die and not start for a day or so over and over again any feed back would be helpful thanx

Clean or change the vent on the fuel tank.The vent is clogged and is pressure locking the fuel system.This is a common thing on older semis.If you clean or change the vent it will run fine.I am assumming there is no settlement in the tanks that is drawn to the filter when level is low to clog the filter,or maybe a rag in the tank.Don't laugh I've seen some strange things in fuel tanks!!
