edit: this is in no way to take away from www.f150online.com, this is a great site, and i appreciate all of the help here. i was not meaning to discredit or offend any hardcore f150online users. i was simply trying to point people with the v6 f150 in a direction that will be able to help them with their questions and/or concerns with their v6 f150. sorry for any hurt feelings or offended v8 users, but this site isnt exactly v6 friendly when many posts about the v6 end up in a "why dont u just buy the v8 LOL". not all but some do end up that way. have a nice day.

actually i joined that site not to long ago, b.c there are more 97-03 guys then 04+ guys so i like that. And some of the more active users are from my area.

I admin a major PC forum, and we consider it bad form to come in and try to get people to join other forums. However, I'm just a newbie here and I may be out of line saying that.

Hmm - that does appear to be a possible rules violation here. It sure is in my forum.

 

First off, the v6f150 forum is more well-suited to those who are interested in a bunch of teens talking about their "pimped" rides. So, for those of us here who have common courtesy, the other site is no threat.

Secondly, one of the moderators (ie; RockPick) has been known to speak of autopia.com----a detailing forum. Basically, it's not that people here (that I've seen) are encouraging you to join, it's more that we are making an effort to provide everyone with as many resources as possible to make the best decisions for our vehicles.

Lastly, I do understand where you're coming from. But seriously, does it bother you that someone tried to help out everyone with a 4.2 by reccommending another site---one that was created specifically for the 4.2...

 

The only thing that bothers me is the way it was posted - it sounded to me like the OP was saying this place was no good.

I probably should have kept my mouth shut. I apologize.

 

chances are if OP has 35 posts under his belt, he knows by now if he doesnt like this forum, and he joined 4 months ago, so i think he likes it enough to hang around this long, he might be in it for the long haul.

I'm the admin of V6F150.com and although I appreciate the plug it's out of place. F150online is an awesome site. V6F150 is a niche site geared toward the 4.2 but welcome anyone who wants to stop in.

We've got a diverse member base but only a few "despisable adolescent teeny-boppers" on the site. After all, what site doesn't.
