Yet another hesitation thread

Lately ive been experiancing a very slight hesitation in the low rpm range, but only when the engine is cold. I can only really notice it in 2nd or 3rd gear, and its only a split second. Once it gets up to operating temperature, it never occurs. Any ideas?

I honestly dont know since ive only had the truck for a few months. It has 89k on it. I could try cleaning the TB. Any chance it may need new plugs/wires?

I agree with BlueOval. Even check air filter or plug gaps.

Also,if you think the wires are bad, which they might be,go back with Motorcraft,or anything with a lifetime warranty.DO NOT USE BOSCH! They suck very badly!
And,go back with Motorcraft plugs!

My '98 F150 has always hesitated, cold, hot, no matter what.

When I hit the gas, there is a big "kuush" sound as the air intake opens up, but the engine hesitates before the RPMs take off. Sometimes it even stumbles. Bad when you are trying to take off into traffic from a stop.

It did this before and after replacing the engine and transmission, with of course new gas and air filters, and new plugs. I'm thinking possibly a vacuum leak.
