Here's a little info on the Motorcraft "Finewire" Platinum sparkplugs.

I couldn't find any info about if they needed to be gapped or not anywhere on the net. I don't think they need to be IMO. Did you find out anything?

I asked at the website run by Ford techs and got a reply saying the same as I was saying;they are probly close enough out the box but should be checked and gapped per engine specs.
If you use one of those ring gappers you "will" most likely break the fine wire center electrode! Thats why I use a feeler gauge with the electrode adjusting tool on it.

Hmm, I'll have to get one of those "other kind" of gappers.
My truck's running better than ever, so I'll just leave it alone. That concept was learned through my teenage years of trying to fix stuff that wasn't broken.
