Exclamation "New" Used Truck

Hey All,
I have already posted concerning what can be done to improve mpg, but I am also curious as to what yall would recommend as far as other things to do with the truck for somebody on a limited budget. I have maybe 200 a month extra to do work on the truck, but I want to make it last a while (@ least 3 years lol).

2003 Ford XL
5speed trans
4.2L engine

While I definately want to increase HP right now one of my main concerns is mpg.

I put a Flex-a-Lite Black Magic electric fan on my truck at least 5 years ago. It was about $180 from Summit. This is a 'universal fit' fan. Install was a bit of a PITA but it has worked great, even in a hot climate. It certainly added mpg (at least 0.5 mpg, but probably more like 1.0+ mpg), and makes the truck much quieter when the fan isn't running. Nice mod for little money. IMO, there is no need to spend $400 for a dual fan kit for our V6 trucks.

Did not notice much more power getting to the wheels, but there must be some as the stock fan is a heavy weight and has got to take some energy to spin.

"I am wondering if any of those things we have all seen advertised on tv actually work based on personal experience. Products I am speaking about are the tornado fuel saver, dyno-tab fuel booster, turbonater. Alot of my mileage is stop and go which means i dont get crap for mpg. Anyways any help would be extremely appreciated."
