E-fan

I'm thinking of putting a E-fan on my truck, will I see and feel a diffrence in the proformace of my truck. I don't want to waste my money on it. Will it also help with fuel mpg. I'm looking at the one that Troyer has for sale.
thanks

E-fans will definitely help, although if you're not 100 percent comfortable doing major repairs on your truck, you may have a bit of a time installing it.

I myself researched it and was about to do it until I realized I was too chicken to do the install.

I'm trying to find someone here in the DFW area that I know and trust to put one in....haven't bought it yet but I hear that they do some BIG TIME good things, one being that your A/C tends to blow colder even when your car is not moving (i.e. stop lights, signs, etc.).

In addition, I have found that mpg does increase since the power required to run the E-fan is much less than that of your conventional fan. Some have said that their vehicle actually runs colder, which is a pretty nice little perk usually resulting in increased HP and torque on the low end.

I'm going to buy it from Troyer, I have never bought anything from them before, I just want to now if any has had any problems, the look like a good company to deal with.

On my V6 with an automatic transmission, I could not feel a noticeable increase in power, but I did get a mileage improvement (my mileage varies alot anyways, but IMO I get at least 1 mpg better with the e-fan). The stock fan weighs a ton. Some people with manual transmissions claim they feel more power to the wheels after eliminating the parasitic loss of the stock fan.

I bought a universal fit Flex-A-Lite "Black Magic" fan through summit about 5 years ago for $180. Install was a bit of a pain (needed to borrow a fan wrench from Auto Zone, and none of the stores nearby had one; aligning the fan with the universal brackets took some trial and error; had to research some of the wiring options on F150 online). But I live in a hot climate and the single fan works fine.

An added benefit of the e-fan is the truck is much quieter than stock when the fan is not running (but when it kicks on it is louder than stock). Also, I noticed you get heat from the heater quicker during winter.

Troyer is a great company to work with and I'm sure they have a quality product, but you have cheaper options out there.

Troyer is an awesome company to work with. They have some the best customer service out there. It doesn't really matter what kind of fan you go with as long as it is from a respected retailer. All the fans will give you some more power and a lot better gas mileage.

Even though I didn't buy my CAI from Troyer, I emailed Mike just to ask a question about possibly switching out my CAI with a product from him - you wouldn't believe the kind of top rate email I received back from them. It almost made me feel bad that I didn't buy from them. Of course, they don't sell what they don't believe in. I had my heart set on an Airaid for my V6 (mainly due to budgetary reasons), but I noticed Troyer didn't sell the Airaid V6 CAI. I emailed him about it and Anita gave me a top notch email back.

This company is Grade A professional - if I ever need them again in the future, I will look at them FIRST and will probably settle with them, even if they are a few bucks more expensive.

Troyer has a kit for around $365, is that a good price.
