Add cruise control for 2002 F-150?
Hey guys,
I've got an 02 F-150 XL (5-spd Standard) with the 4.2V6, and I want to add cruise control.
I called the dealership, and they say they won't add cruise after a model change.
I called Pep Boys and they said they quit adding cruise a coupla years back.
What now? JCWhitney and do it myself? If so, which of the 3 they offer? Any other options?
Or is this not even a good idea? Comments? Suggestions?

Cruise control problem resolved
The Dealer's service dept in Palatka told me that no dealer would add cruise to an '02 because there's been a model change.
So I called a couple more Ford Dealers, and the one up in Alachua will do it for $566.41, which includes a new steering wheel. :o
So I guess the lesson learned is that if a dealership tells you that an '02 is to ancient for him to work on, just keep calling till you get an answer that works for you.

ive considered getting one of the jcwhiteney ones.
like this dash mounted one
please post what you end up doing. less than $600 may be worth it. down time is a factor though for me.
