coolant temperature sensor replacement

1997 f-150 4.2 v6

I am replacing my coolant temperature sensor. When replacing, I wrap the threads with teflon tape, and that's it?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks - I forgot, but I will put some on tonight!

...and it seems that replacing the DPFE sensor has fixed my P0117 CEL codes. The truck has starting up fine sor far. Still holding my breath.

That thing was corroded big time where the hoses connected, I can see why it was having problems.
