5 speed tranny

Does anyone on here know any good aftermarket "short" throw shifters and clutch kits for a 00' v6? my clutch is crap about now with 83k, and I hate how it shifts... It's almost like it clicks twice to get it in gear, plus my foot is almost to the floor. thanks for any help

p.s. I just bought the flex-a-lite electric fan, and its on the way, I will post improvements if any

Go to truckperformance.com for a replacement clutch and preasure plate. Might as well get a new clutch that can handle more towing weight. Mark M

Thanks for the input. I have been eyeing a hurst short throw off ebay for some time now. The onle thing stopping me, is 200 bones, and I dont know what in the hell im doing. And as for the clutch...I wouldnt even consider doing that myself. So it all boils down to mulah..good price for a whole new clutch install???? (Master cylinder, slave,pp,throw out bearing..) thanks

Wait a minute guys! Hurst makes a short throw shifter for 97- 04 F150's that fits without hitting the dash and works well?

Where do I get one?! My truck is a 1998 Supercab 5 speed of course. Mark M

Got mine from Troyer Performance for $215.00. It rocks. Just make sure you get the right one (they have one for 97 - 98 models and another one for 99 - 04 Heritage models).
