Difference between two Motorcraft spark plugs?

I'm about ready to swap the plugs in my truck, and have found these two Motorcraft part numbers for my truck. One is available at Autozone and the other at O'Reillys.

AGSF-34EE (Autozone - This plug called for in manual)
AGSF-34FM (O'Reilly)

Which of the two is a better plug? Does it matter? From what I've searched and read, I think EE = "Double Platinum" and the FM = "Platinum Finewire and Nickel Plated Shell"

Also does anyone know if the plugs are pre-gapped?

Thanks!

Every New plug should have the gap checked and adjusted if needed.

The fine wires have superceded the double plats as the Ford specified-replacements.

When you buy the plugs, go ahead and splurge the buck-fifty for a plug gapper. Many good parts houses have them displayed next to the register. There is no good reason to not have one.

Yeah I've got one around here somewhere, I was just curious about that... thanks!

Looks like the plugs are $4/ea from O'Reilly, I dont remember ever spending that much on a spark plug before!

Talking Bosch +4

Go ahead and splurge a little more to get Bocsh +4 Platnium plugs. You just may see better mileage and performance, plus they well out last Stock plugs.

haha -- Yeah, I've heard both good and bad stories about the Bosch +4's in our engines...

It does seem however that the Motorcraft plugs have the highest percentage of sastisfied users out of all available plugs, barring some less common specialty types (Iridium?).

Factory Motorcraft is the way to go.Unless you are one whom likes smoke and mirrors and jumping thru hoops for a 4 prong spark plug.

I agree with " Mr 1stF150truck",,, BOCSH Plugs are recomended by "Amsoil" Amsoil, The First in Synetheic's. I use Amsoil Series 2000, Full Synetheic 0W30 Motor Oil.

Ya know, that response sounds like a "plug" (no pun intended) for Amsoil.

Hahaha... I was just gonna make a comment about +4's being a ****ing gimmick... similar to the 'omg amsoil makes yoor truck fastar!' **** that Amsoil user's (and dealers) spout off, but it seems MotoDip**** beat me to it.

No thanks, I'll run a plug that doesn't fall apart and **** up my engine, thank you.

Yep, he is likely an amsoil dealer. I am a firm beleiver in oem equipment and for fords that means motorcraft plugs. I have used synthetic lubs since 1976 and as a result when i mention thinking of selling a vehicle i have people lined up to muy at my price. Some of them have kept the vehicles countinuing the use of syn and have hundreds of thousands of miles with almost no major repairs. I use mobil one oils but am switching over to Amsoil because they sell a wider range of products and have a reputation for being the best in most cases.

Why did you bring up a thread about spark plugs that's been dead for almost 4 years to talk about synthetic oil?
