Ok here is el problemo...I have a 00' 4.2, and the pwr steering moans and vibrates like the pump is bad, but my mechanic said the pump was fine..So what I need to know is; if there is a some conditioner, or maybe a new hose that will make it stop, cus frankly...it is taking away my holiday cheer.

 

Use your wife's turkey baster to suck out the old fluid and replace with synthectic. Then start truck and repeat 3-4 more times to get all the old fluid out. It will quiten it down some. You'll be happier...but the wife may not be.

 

you could try running some seafoam trans tune in the p/s then drain and refill the resivoiur. also look around where the pressure line goes into the pump from underneath. it could be leaking there letting the pump airate.
