I have a p1518 code. Can anyone tell me where the IMRC is located and what needs to be done to correct the problem. Also if i unplugg my battery to make the SES/CEL light turn off will it pass inspection even though the problem still exists? All help is greatly appreciated.

 

They are the butterfly type flaps that run thru the lower intake and open and close at a certain rpm. There are rows of them, 3 butterflys on each row,and are operated by sensors at the back side of the intake. The sensor could be bad or there is excess carbon built up on the butterflys.
