loud pipes save lives

I need a little help on deciding what kind of exhaust to put on my truck, it only has a 4.2 so i know i am not going to get really good sound, but anything is better than this factory thing. any suggestions on what might sound the best?

flowtech warlocks seem to be the most popular right now. They're very affordable, and have a capped/uncapped option. I believe they can be purchased at summit racing for around $60-$70. It doesn't have a raspy sound, no cab droning at highway speeds. But if you uncap I heard its a beast and you need to be careful where you punch it uncapped (cops aren't fond of it). hope this helps!

gotta 4.2 myself, i have straight pipes. most people think its a v8 though. i got two friends w/ v8s w/ mufflers and mine is still louder. if your not into straight pipes the 2nd choice i would go with would be flowmaster 1 chamber muffler, (louder than 2 chamber) another thought would be cut off or gut your cats, and have a 1 or 2 chamber muffler on it. would sound sweet.

thank you for your help, i went with a raven exhuast and it sounds very good! it is not too loud but sounds beefy and gave me a little extra horse power. the chrome tips really set it off. take a look https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=4632
