the year 1997

you guys do know that the 97 was the first year of the new ford everything basicly.... so im not suprised at all to see everyone having problems. the first year for any new thing is always a hazard...

....And they worked out bugs the entire time from 1997-2003. You should read all the problems that they discuss in the 2004 F-150 area of the board. It's always the same thing over again.

97 f-150 problems

1.Rear leaf springs- Ford had to put a clip in so springs would not come apart and strike the flue tank.

2. Ford had to event new lug nut's, not sure why, just that thier were problems with the lug nut's.

3. Ford recalled some 4wd to replace the flue line ( Happened on my 97 )

4. Cracking door's, we all know abought this.

5. coolent leak aroud timming chain cover on the 4.2 ( Happened on my 97 )

Any more that you know abought?
