-----------------------------------------

L@@K!! SUPERCHIPS PERFOMANCE MODULE 2001 FORD F150 V6

This is the Superchips performance module upgrade for a 2001 Ford F150 with the V6 engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. This chip adds 10 to 15 horse power (if I remember right) and does away with the rev limiter and governer so that you can drive the truck as fast as you would like to go and not as fast as they want you to go. I got a speeding ticket right after I installed this chip for doing 115 mph in a 65 mph zone!! You wanna talk about a ticket that hurt!! That one was expensive!! I used this chip for about a year, I removed it before I got rid of the truck. It was in perfect working order when it was taken out. This chip will only work on the V6 with a 5 speed. I am not sure what other year model trucks it will work in so that part is up to you. Shipping will be $6.00. There will be no returns or refunds for any reason. I only accept PayPal payments. Thanks for looking and Good Luck.

and about the chip...as far as i understand the chip will only work for your truck if it's for your computer code...i may be wrong though... you may want to try the question in the chips forum and mike will set you straight for sure.

it says right in the part description "Fitment: Only fits on aftermarket intake pipe. It will not fit on stock intake" it will not fit stock.

if you go to autozone or something and they dont list one for 4.2 get one for 4.6 or 5.4 of same year they all use the motorcraft 1632 size air filter so a 4.6 or 5.4 stock k&n will fit in a 4.2 airbox. and run from $45 to $55.

He's right ! You can only install a chip that is calibrated to your code. You both need the exact same code, or the chip has to be re-programmed for about twice what you paid for it.

Even if the chip is not for your computor code and you have to get it reburned, you still saved a few bucks.

it could be a match...but more than likely i would plan on them not being the same code. give mike a call about reprogramming and you'll get the best price around.

Start by trying to find out what code the seller had. Next, see what code you have.

i would prolly just have mike retune it. chances are very slim that your codes were the same (as luck would have it). as far as hurting your truck i don't think it would hurt anything (don't take my word on it) but it would drive erratic. if you get a chance to ask mike he could answer these for sure.

update

I installed the chip and it works! i had put in before but didnt really notice any difference so i tried to go past 100 and it cut me off as usual. i took it out and more cleaned the connectors again. the 1st time i did it, i only cleaned the top side for some reason.

can definitely feel a little more power. got it up to about 105-110 just to be sure.
I definitely lucked out with this one
