I know you'll need a special tool for the fuel filter. You can get it at Autozone for a few bucks. I'd stick with Motorcraft oil filters and a good quality oil like Mobil1, Valvoline, or Motorcraft oil. Pcv can be had at any parts house. Fram makes good air filters. Manual tranny uses 3.75 quarts of ATF, but use what the owners calls for or the equivelant. You'll need a syphon to get the tranny fluid in the tranny though. It can be a pain. And as for coolant, I would go out Autozone and buy that 50/50 mix coolant. Just drain your old anti-freeze, then pour in the 50/50 mix and that should do it. It makes it a little easier when the coolant already comes mixed 50/50. Stick with the oem plugs and wires.

if you've got the platinum plugs check 'em cause they're good for 100k, and if whatever plugs you have are bad get some platinum ones...for the air filter i'd go with K&N (for a little more money you never have to change your air filter again and you get better flow, whether you go with an intake or not is your choice). as far as anything else, remember to check your belts and hoses (and i guess while you're checking them, if you're like me, it would be a good time for some underdrive pulleys )...other than that best of luck to you

In order of replacement:

1) Air filter
2) Fuel Filter
3) Check/replace your brakes.
4) Change the differentail fluid and gearbox lube.
5) Bleed the brake system with a quality fluid.
6) Flush and fill your coolant system. Might as well change the belt, hoses and thermostat while your at it.
7) If it has a stock battery, its about due for replacement.
8) Keep the engine compartment (and rest of the truck) spotless. This helps prevent corrosion and you will spot a leak quicker.
9) Get under the truck with a wire brush and some undercoating and clean the rust off and seal it up. Flat black Rustoleum looks good on the chassis!
