Unhappy Starter problem

Went to start my truck this evening and all I got was a click. Battery is ok,coolant level good(lowers changed 11/02) lights working, etc. I then kept trying to start it and after 4-5 clicks it finally started. Drove it home, and it started several times with no problem.Corroded wires maybe or bad starter? Any opinions?

Have you checked the battery terminals and connections? Corrosion on them might cause that. Might not be getting a good connection. Also check the ground strap going to the starter. My moms car did that a while back, but only it would not even click. Sometimes it would crank and sometimes it would do nothing. Those are two suggestions.

Yeah, I'd check what paulv107 said to check. More than likely it's the connections that are corroded or loose.
