Bosch Platinum 4's

Getting ready to install my new Taylor wires and my new Bosch Platinums! I need some tips from some of you guys out there that have already changed your plugs. Should I go in from under the hood or change the plugs from under the truck? Looks like I might have to do both. Any advice from you do it yourselfers out there? Thanks Mark M

I hope you have better luck with your bosch's platinums than I did with mine.

After I installed a set of single bosch platinums in my truck it lost power and was really slugish. I pulled them out after about 25 miles and replaced them with Autolite Plats.

It was like night and day. Power returned and the throttle response was quick.

So hope you have luck with your's. If anyone wants my bosch's they can have them I will only charge for shipping.

Weird, mine actually did the opposite. I had Autolite Platinum and got rid of them switched to Bosch 4+ and it felt more responsive. I donated the almost new Autolites to Goodwill, along with the factory intake .

Installed the new plugs and Taylor wires yesterday and noticed a smoother running engine right away. Seems to have just as much power as before if not just a little more. The real test will come when I check the mpg on my next full tank of gas.

It was a bit difficult installing the new plugs and wires. The wire set I have was a custom cut ready to install set from Taylor that fit in the stock wire clips. I ran the wire along the same route that the stock wires were in. Next time I'll just custom drape the wires over the side of the valve covers and use some new wire clips and some colored zip ties to mount. Doing it the factory way was a little tough. It took me a little over two hours. The end result was nice though. The truck runs great and the blue Taylor wires look good. Mark M
