I bought a F150 2001 with 30k and I looked at the tow capacity from the door label and it's written 5800lbs.

I know that I have the 3.55 diff but the big question :

Do I have the tow packg or the trans radiator ?

Not necessarily. I have a 01 Sport and it came standard with the 3.55 L/S rear-end. No tow package except the 4-pin connector in the back. I now have the 7-pin, and 4-pin for towing my pop-up.

 

Mine has the HD towing package.

 

the HD towing is the way to go! that with the ls and you can tow a 22ft boat noooo problem, my 18ft boat i can hold 70 on the freeway on my way to mead (vegas) no problem..
