Talking had to kill

i was driving on the blue route(I-476)as i was on my wayhome and this young white dude in mommys riced out chrysler tried to blow my doors off(i was doing 80)and he couldnt get by me, so he tried to cut me off...its raining now to add in the fun...but the car in front of him stopped! traffic is backing up at my exit like it always does, and this guy reluctantly gets in behind me we cruise off the exit together and turn left we continue in traffic until we both turn right onto a two lane in each direction 45mph road. so he tries going around me in the right lane as i am passing a Q-tip in her caddy in the right lane. we get the next light and he takes off like a shot...i have 3.08's so i wasnt leaving that fast. i catch up to him by leaving it in 3rd, now we are pacing each other at 50 or so, and my turn is coming up in about a 1/4 mile so i punch it, and next thing i know i am passed him(way passed him) and i am going over 80 so i back off and turn, he goes straight. we meat up again as i am pulling into wawa to get smokes...he is 5 foot nothing and about 150 pounds and he looks at me like i am small...i am 7 foot and over 350 lbs...reason for my nickname...moose...so i told him to back off me, and he didnt. so now i have to deal with this guy, he says he sees me driving "like an idiot" everyday on the blue route and he couldnt take it anymore and he wanted to spank me! i hate kids!!

How could you call anything a kill in a 4.2L?
You just raced something even slower than our trucks......(which doesnt happen often).

Falcon11:

Our 4.2 are not Lightnings by far, but they are not completely granny trucks either. I have a stock 4.2 5-speed and I have beat 2 different 4.6 V-8's with automatics, so there are even V-8's that a 4.2 V-6 can beat...

Well said 01. I have a 4.2L v6. And I know it's not the fastest engine in the universe. I really don't care, because I don't race it. But a kill is a kill no matter what you drive. That is if you run fair and square. No pun against L's. I respect them for what they are. True performace vehicles.

Ya know, 4.2s just don't get the respect they deserve. Besides that pesky little gasket leak, mine was a damn good motor. I "killed" a loudmouth in my shop who drove a dodge with a 318. Loved seeing the look on his face afterwards. Unfortunately, he was one of those guys who has an excuse for everything, especially after he loses. I guess he's had lots of practice.

the story wasnt really about the kill but about the looser in moms riced out seabring sedan, that thought he was hot ****e and it felt good to pass him when he was trying to keep me from doing that ! is that ok with you!?

the v6 does not get any respect, i bought mine not because of its performanc potential but because my 440-6 pak ramcharger needed 1000 dollars worth of work for inspection and i used that money for a down payment of a good reliable, truck with a new vehicle warrenty...bought a truck cause i am 7 foot tall and over 350 pounds so i need a truck or a caddy , and the truck won!

thanks

moose

here are the mods(what little i could afford

What's the big deal about going fast?

I'm like schoolbus. I brought mine for transportation to get me where I need to go, not for performance. And it gets me there without any problems. The only performance mod I have done is Flowmasters and that is all I plan on doing to it.

Well said, same reason I bought my truck. You state you have the flowmasters, is it just the muffler? If so how you do you like it and the sound?

It is a 40 series SI/DO muffler. Every thing from the muffler back was replaced, and has chrome tips. From the outside, I think it sounds real good as it has a good rumble to it. From inside the cab, it has a different sound but I still think it sounds good.

It really has helped my gas mileage for my truck. Before the change, I would only get to around 325-350 miles per tank and it would be less than a quarter of a tank. Now I get on average 350-375 miles at a quarter of a tank, which is where I normally when I fill up. I rarely let it go below a quarter of a tank. So it really has improved my gas mileage.
