most races on roads tend to end around 60 or so anyways. Would you still go with the intake, chip, and exhaust first, or the gears first? I'll probably only have money for one or the other before school starts back up because I am getting a different system in, 5% on the windows, and hopefully some L wheels which I might get powder coated in black.

well i would most deffanetly go with the gears first then the chip, cause you will need to get the chip programmed for the speedo correction and its cheaper if you do it first..... reburn from superchip is over 100$.... when you can order the fordchip with the adjustments at no extra charge....

The exhaust will only be $400

the intake a good $250 max

they can be done at anytime and dont need to be compensated by the computer in anyway....

however you should reset the ecu after any mods or any adjust ments.... like a plug regap, or new O2 sensors.....

if you want to talk live shoot me some mail... i can give you more info, and help you better....

I got a supercab 01' supercharged v6 4.2L. I never race anything cuase I know I'll lose. I just like flooring it sometimes when I am by myself.

The truck came with the charger and a custom exhuast set up when I bought it from the previous owner, I just got it like a month ago, and it is a great up-grade from my 96' ranger. And the price I got it at is unbeatable. I'd tell ya'll but you'd either not belive me or hate me.

I am also a n00b here and I didnt get it direct from the previous owner. I am just getting into trucks and mods and the best the dealer would tell me is it had an after-market chip and exuaghst sytem. I really plan to research it more when I get the time.

So the point here is what do I have a chance against, i know that supercab adds some weight to the truck and I dont want to go around trying to take these cars/trucks that I have no chance against.

dude, i put 4.10 gears on my truck with 32 inch tires (a 4.2 liter supercab) and I got a superchip, intake, and exhaust, and if i stop, let off the brake, and punch it the tires spin. BTW, i am automatic. with 4.10 gearing you can launch like none other!

A quick question...

If I bought Troyers Stage 1 package, would I need to have the chip reburned for e-fans? Also, would I need to buy the dual e-fans or would a single work just as well?

1 more... what kind of time would I be running with the Stage 1 package (intake exhaust chip & pulley), e-fans, and lower gears. I don't know if I would want 4.10's because a lot of my driving is 55+.

I am getting ready to buy some L wheels, probably save up for a tonneau after that, then it will either be performance stuff or a SS body kit.

hold off on the reburn, i know for sure that you need a reburn after the gears, dont know about the others though.

I just ordered a custom reburn to go with the JBA headers I'll be adding soon. It was $125. After talking to Mike T., I decided that with the other mods (intake, polished TB, complete eshaust with real y pipe) that I needed the custom programming to keep it from going lean.

After all this is done I think the only engine mod left for me will be the electric fans.

Have them do a nitrous program on 1 side of your flip chip, and a street program on the other. I'd get it all done, mod wise, before doing the reburn.

I found another mod...I ordered my short throw shifter today :-)

Thats a good idea for the flip chip, Nitro on one and street on the other.

So can you change (flip) the chip from the interior or do you have to pop your hood and do it that way?
