timing chain cover

I just got my truck out of the shop. They found a leak at the timing chain cover gasket with a pressure test. At that point I only heard of the lower intake leak. They changed it but broke the timing chain cover. They said it was an acccident. I argued the accident was his fault but ended paying 209 for the new cover in addition to the original costs.
I think I got scammed. Has anyone taken a vehicle to Dales Quality in New Orleans. I dont believe its easy to break. And of course the leak I didnt notice before is gone but the engine is still overheating. Dale was telling me its the radiator but the radiator is the coolest part.

I would suggest searching for a new mechanic to work on your vehicles!!

I think you got scammed too!!
The covers are aluminum I think, but don't break very easily.
