4.2 throddle body cleaning

4.2 throddle body cleaning

Just wondering , the shop manuals for the 4.2 state not to clean throddle body because of a special coating on its inside surfaces , but mine are dirty and just wondering if anyone else has cleaned them and with what ???

Use CRC Throttle body cleaner.Ive used about every throttle body cleaner out there;CRC is the best so far.

ok blue thanks i shall try it, in the middle of a tear down of the top end so trying to overhaul as much as possible while its all apart

not to get off the subject but I noticed the Taylor wires in your sig. Do you like them? Did you notice any improvements? I think my stock wires are ready to be replaced and was considering the Taylors, so any feed back would be much appreciated!

Just make sure you don't use too much. LOL. Don't do a search for throttle body cleaner under my name either.

oops sorry Crashz missed your question......
Yeah they work great, fire great, and will work even better with some good spark plugs. But don't expect any noticeable improvements in performance, after all they are just spark plug wires. If you can get them for around the price of what you would pay for your stock ones I say go for it!
