The value is in the stock low mileage Lightnings... Heavy modded trucks have been beat on and could be ticking timebombs. An 03/04 truck that sells for $15K at auction may bring $17K-$19K at retail.

NADA is around three-four months behind in their numbers, so if you look at NADA today then they could be $1K-$2K HIGH...

To make it simple, it is like the real estate market where you can price your home and it may not sell at any price. Just not a lot of buyers for a limited(towing, etc) truck like a lighting...

This one in my opinion, without any pulley mods(good choice), would be in the upper price range. Great truck...

Watch out for this screwball. I had this truck bought about a year and a half ago and I was paying his full price. After we made the deal he stopped answering my calls and e-mails. I even called a guy with HALO in Houston who called Craig for me and Craig told him he was going to call me and he was going to sell me the truck (he never called). I even called his work and he had a woman tell me not to call again. He did not have the ***** to tell me his self.
I really wanted this truck real bad!

I bought a 2003 Sonic Blue off E-bay with 18,000 miles for $18,500.00 last Thanksgiving. I flu up to Baltimore and drove it back. It is just as nice as this one with four new Ford Motorsport 99 Chrome L wheels and four new tires. A Cervani (SP) hood with the stock hood, soft bed coverand Hotchkiss lowering kit.

As I said, watch out for this clown!

Maybe he did not want to sell his truck. I also contacted him but decided I did not want to overpay for an 04 Lightning. 04's can be found with under 30K miles for $18K or less... Next Spring they will be less.

Found one very close to this one for under $19K... 20K miles and it did not have that hideous paint under the hood.

That must be why he had it for sale and told me and others he was selling it to me. I'm telling you the truck is nice (not worth $24K) but the owner is a nutbag!

flashy custom paint jobs are maybe like tats? Good for a while, but don't necessarily stand the test of time.....?
