FS: 2009 Platinum SCrew 2wd in St. Louis
I really dont want to sell as I LOVE this truck, but I think its time to let it go to get into something else(I get bored easily). I think I need another Corvette.
2009 Platinum Super Crew
Sterling Gray
Dark Brown/Black interior(really nice combination IMO)
5.4l/6 speed
2 wheel drive
5.5' bed
23,000 Miles(dont drive much, but it is my daily driver so miles are added slowly)
Clean title, no accidents ever
I am the original owner, have the window sticker, etc...
Pretty standard as far as Platinum's go.
-Sony stereo which was an upgrade in 09 on the Platinum's(has the USB2 mod done to it with the wire in the glove box)
-Sync/Sirius
-Backup camera and rear parking sensors
-power fold out running boards
-rain sensing wipers
-auto head lamps
-3:55 rear limited slip axle
-Front windows tinted 35% to match the rear's
-2 bike fork mounts installed in bed(can be removed)
Does not have Nav, Moon Roof, Max Tow package, or man step. No bedliner(spray in or drop in), but I could get one done for the purchaser.
Exterior Condition:
Has a few door dings which are not that noticeable but I can and will get them taken care of prior to sale, none have any paint damage(est $150 to get fixed). Somebody attempted to break into the truck on the drivers side door and the lock is mangled, again this will be fixed prior to sale(they broke the rear drivers side door window and it was replaced with factory Ford glass and the door was cleaned out of all broken glass)(est $400 to fix). A few very minor scratches on the doors which I should be able to take care of with some light polishing. Paint is overall I would say 95% condition. Been waxed 2x a year, every year and had a full detail(clay, 3 step polish, wax) this past spring(2011). Always used Menzerna polishes and Meguires NXT 2.0 wax. Probably has a few rock chips on the front end, but I havent looked to closely in a while. The platinum tailgate panel has seperated from the tailgate at the top, its hardly noticeable. My dealer has tried 4 or 5 times to re-affix it, including putting a new panel on it. Every time it pops loose within a few days. I can have them try again for the purchaser, but to me, since its not to noticeable and it keeps happening, I just dont worry about it(warranty work). One wheel has some curb rash on the face(not the rim) that, according to the local wheel repair shop, could be fixed and you would never notice it(est $150 to fix). I simply havent gotten it done yet, but can and will for purchaser.
Interior Condition:
I would say pretty much flawless. I honestly cant find anything wrong with the interior. Maybe the front floor mats could use replacing, but even they are pretty good. Seats are in excellent condition with no(at least to me) visible bolster wear. No tears in anything, no stains on the carpet. Seat heat and A/C works flawlessly, all electronics work, gauges, etc... Never smoked in, never even eaten in(at least to my knowledge). Interior plastic's have always been treated with 303 Aerospace protectant which has a UV inhibitor in it. Seats(and other leather) have always been treated with Lexol. Never shampood the carpets because they have honestly never needed it(I vacuum it about once a week).
Mechanical Condition:
Again, pretty much flawless. Never had a single issue with this truck(which is one reason I am reluctant to sell). Only been to the dealer a couple times: Transmission TSB flash, 3 or 4 tire rotations and the previously mentioned tail gate panel. Oil has been Amsoil Signature Series 5w-20 with Amsoil filters. I run 10k on an oil change and had oil analysis done after my last one and they found nothing wrong and I could have run it longer. Truck is on its 3rd oil change(first done at 3000 by dealer, second at 10k to Amsoil, and third at 20k to Amsoil). Truck burns no oil. Trans shifts perfectly(after TSB was performed). Has not had the door handle recall done, but it is eligible.
I think thats about it. I try to be as honest with evaluations as I possibly can. I have bought and sold a lot of cars and it always pissed me off when a vehicle was represented one way and you get there to see a pile of junk sitting there. I would rather make a bigger deal out of stuff and then somebody see's it and goes, oh, thats all that is.
I need to get the truck cleaned up and take some pictures, probably wont happen until Tuesday of next week since I am going to be out of town until then.
Price:
Would like to get $30,000. There arent many of these for sale around the country so its hard to judge what to ask.
