Cool

I found a truck that I liked, got an Edmonds Truck Price Book, added up the dealer cost of the exact optioned truck, and offered them $500 below dealer cost (not MSRP). Boy were they mad; I left and came back for a week. They eventually sold it for this back in February. It was easy to get them down to dealer cost; harder to go below. My philosophy is: If they aren't mad, that you could have done better. It has worked for 30 yrs. My opinion only.

Cool

write down the sticker info (MSRP), then go to a book store and find a dealer cost guide.

INDANTE,
YES MY TRUCK IS A EXTRA CAB AND YES ITS THE BEST DEAL I EVER GOT ON A VEHICAL. I DIDN'T RUSH OUT AND GO BUY THE FIRST TRUCK I FOUND, I SHOPPED AROUND AND GOT THE BEST DEAL I COULD FIND. COWORKER JUST BOUGHT ONE THAT LISTED FOR 28,990 AND HE PAID SOMEWHERE IN THE 23 RANGE FOR IT. SO TAKE YOUR TIME AND GET THE TRUCK YOU WANT. REMEMBER ITS YOUR MONEY UNTIL YOU SIGN THE PAPERS. GOOD LUCK

DANTE,
HOPE YOU GET THE DEAL YOU WANT. THE PRICE DIFFERENCE MAY HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR TRUCK BEING A CALIFORNIA TRUCK THAT MAY HAVE DIFFERERT EMISSIONS CONTROL DEVICES ON IT THAN MINE DOES HERE IN LOUISIANA. ALSO YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE EXACT OPTIONS THAT I DO BUT IF YOU ARE GETTING THE TRUCK YOU WANT AND YOU THINK IT A GOOD DEAL THEN GO FOR IT. GOOD LUCK

Paid $25200 for mine as equipped below minus mods.

You should also know that you don't have to buy books for vehicle prices anymore edmunds.com or kbb.com has pricing at no charge and they are fairly accurate, I've found + / - $100

A block heater is a heating element that when plugged in to an electrical outlet will keep the engine coolant etc warm and greatly ease starting in extremely cold climates, Alaska, etc.
3:55 Means a rear end ratio of #:55 to 1
The "LS" Means a Limited Slip Rear End.

INDANTE,
I WOULD THINK YOU DO NOT NEED THE ENGINE BLOCK HEATER IN CALIFORNIA. AS FOR THE 3.55 GEAR IT IS GREAT FOR PULLING AROUND A 3,000 POUND TRAILER. THE 2000 MODELS HAVE LOWER GEARS AVAILABLE 3.23 OR 3.27 I THINK WHICH WOULD BE GOOD IF YOU ARE NOT TOWING OR LIGHT TOWING. NOT EXACTLY SURE ABOUT THE #'S SO CHECK WITH DEALER FOR EXACT ONES. GOOD LUCK
