Post Flareside of Styleside? Is option 627 worth the $$

I need some peoples opinion on whether to go with the flareside of the styleside. Also is the 627 7700 payload group worth the money? The 2000 F-150 seem to tow and hold a little more then the previous years F-150's.

The Flareside option is almost purely personal taste. I have the Flare and love it. Others feel just the opposite. You do lose a little bit of cargo space (side to side) with the flare, but on the other hand, the outer skin is all a fiberglass composite, so it will never rust............

Cool

Purely a personal taste issue.
I never could see teh point in a flareside Ranger or other compact truck
Gheeze, you can't even get a 4x8 sheet of plywood in there
Ohh and another thing to consider is that accessories for flaresides may be hard to find.

Another thing to consider. A friend of mine who sold fords up until recently told me to get the StyleSide because they have a higher resale value. I don't have any data to back that up but he's a smart guy & I trust him. Just something to consider.

I would think the opposite the Flareside has the better resale. I just bought a 1997 and found it to be more expensive because they are harder to find. I am happy with the Flareside and get a lot of comments on the looks. Styleside is more practical, Flareside just looks better. I wouldn't really say that either one is better for re-sale, I think it just changes your target market when you go to sell. A styleside will appeal to someone using it to put a cap on or use it for work. A flareside will appeal to someone wanting a truck for it's sporty look and dress it up. It all depends what you want.... I wanted Flareside and was willing to pay more money for it over Styleside.
