Price of a Lightening?
I am thinking of trading my 97 F-150 Lariat 4X4 on the 99 1/2 Lightening, but I have heard some some pricing and availability horror stories. Things like no sales at less than $3K to $4K over sticker, and availability being 12 weeks or more.
Has anyone had experience in these areas? If so what did you run into and/or wind up paying? Not trying to be nosey, just wondering if it's worth my effort or not.

My SVT F150 has been on order since they started taking orders late last year. With the recent production delay, delivery to the dealer is forcast for the week of May 17th.
Pricing:
Base $29,355
Trailer Towing Group 245
6-Disc CD Changer 210
Destination 640
Total $30,450
The only other option, the Tonneau Cover, is not available any more for some reason.
If you look up SVT dealers on the Ford site (www2.ford.com), you may find one who is willing to part with one for MSRP. Otherwise, you may have to wait until the pipeline has been filled.

my lightning was also ordered last year and i dont think you will find one this year. if you do it will be way over msrp.mine is about 28500 and is due in july.i have driven one and i promise you its all ford claims it to be.its awesome
