98 Nastruck Pricing

Evendintly the 98 nastruck inventory while small in the local delerships the price is falling as they want to move the inventory. About 16 to 17K should see you in one if you can find it. It's a good looking truck with some sup. mods and Roush sonic tips that should not be removed(take out the muffler and replace with a dyno race mag oval)great sound with the tips.Keep the orginal looks and the org. msrp sticker this WILL be a collecter item! changes should be made carefully and org parts saved. It's about 250 lbs lighter than a stock 150 and it's lowered about 3in. with a Rouck air dam. I'm Not sure how to replace the yellow lettering nascar tires yet but I havent shoped yet either. It's a real fun truck to drive and a attention getter. You can probley do all the mods you need to do to make it real competive for only about 500-700$. Live and Love.

I believe Roush has a web page or just get in touch with your local muff shop. It shouldnt take them more than 10 min to install.

Does anyone know how much the Roush tips cost? Could I put them on my 97 F-150 and if so how much would the conversion cost.

Lovell1,
Thanks for the reply. Ive looked around on the Roush site but cant find anything (www.roushindustries.com). Are there any Nastruck owners who know the part number of this exhaust tip?

lovell1,
I was at the Texas Motorplex back in Aug 98. My 5.4 Reg cab short bed XLT weighed 4430 lbs., there was a Nastruck there 4.6 5-speed no power windows that weighed 3890 lbs. By comparison, a 99 Lightning weighs 4650 lbs.
Ford must be using some lightweight parts on the Nastruck.

triton,
sure you went roush's website (roushracing.com), there are numerous dealers in your state to give a call and get a quote on the roush tips. there is a dealer locator on the website when you go through 'performance products'

The sticker on my Nastruck was 22990, but I got it for 17990, = T,T, T. As for the weight differences, I think this would have something to do with no power accessories??

First time post. I have just purchased a '98 Nastruck with only 7,400 miles. It has everything (including auto, tonneau cover) except for the floor mats, any suggestions for a replacement? Also, what about an original sticker? This truck is nice, it handles like a sports car! But the 3.73 axle is killing my mpg, averaging 15 completely stock. What are the mods everyone has made?

thanks,

MB

p/s: I purchased this Nastruck for $16K at Car Max in south Houston, TX
