'99 Lightning price....

Thanks for helping me out there, i'm a newbie to the site but i've been around the block quite a few times in the car world.

I'm currently looking at a 99 lightning with 71k+; what should I expect to pay. Seller outright states rock chips up front and 'paint is in good condition for a 99'

I figure KBB's "good" is a fair price; though it's about $1,500 under what they are asking.

Best Price

Never pay above KBB. If they are asking KBB they are expecting to get the KBB price. I just purchased a 2002 F-150 with 72K miles and only paid 11K with KBB stating almost 14K and my truck is close to Excellent condition.

What is the asking price and the KBB price?

Asking price is 12,500. However KBB is 10,5xx. I figured 10,800 would be a good start price, truck is in good condition.

Do they have title in hand or are you basically paying the truck off for them and they get the extra?

if they have title in hand, to me KBB is a fair price, but the $10,800 isn't bad either. I personally wouldn't go above 11K though. The milage is low also, so that is a plus.
