Which spline do I have?
I have a '91 F-`150 4.9L 5 speed 2 WD.
I broke the output shaft and tailpiece of the housing on my tranny. I found another tranny same type to scavenge. I took the shaft and tailshaft housing and transplanted them to my tranny, but now the yolk doesn't fit on the shaft.
My questions are...
1. would dif year trannies have dif splines?
2. How do I find out what yolk I need?
The tranny I scavenged was same except there is no input hole for speedo cable on tailpiece like my original had.
Any help will be appreciated!!
