Question Tranny Shifting issues

I just installed my airraid kit the other day, and I am not sure if it is related, but now when my tranny shifts from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3rd, the revs stay for a moment at 5000, and then about a second and a half later or 2, it finally grabs, and the revs drops back down again...what is the deal?

Well, that sucks...What is a good resource for learning about the different shift kits etc that are available, and is that something I could do on a Saturday in the driveway?

Thanks!

Easiest way to change it is to buy a Chip; firms it up and adds HP (excellent approach on a computer controlled vehicle). You can also use with, or instead, a shift kit. This requires a trans-valve body removal/modification.

Question

Well, it is a 5.4, so I think it is the 100... Is removing the trans/valve/body whatever tough to do?

Tommy- It's not complex if you have basic mechanics skills and tools. They come with instructions. Most Transmission shops will also install these. The valve body is unbolted after removing the pan and filter, partially disassembled, and modified. Depending on the vehicle/transmission, they include valves, springs, and separator plate modification techniques.

I used the TransGo shift kit. It came with a install video. Took two hours to install. Got it from Summit.
