JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE THAT HAD THEIR ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION REPLACED HAD THE 3YR/36OOO MILE WARANTY EXTENDED FROM THE TIME THE ITEM WAS REPLACED??

Just had the a.t. 4R70w rebuilt in my: 99F250LD SC 4X4 4.6L with 16000mi. on it.
I do tow trailer, but am under the weight ratings etc. So was not over loaded. Tranny has cooler. Was it something i did or ????
When the OD light started flashing & the shifting was really hard & loud, knew i had a problem.
Anyway, my local Ford dealer test drove,then broke tranny down, needed complete rebuild. Didnt ask what i used truck for etc. just said he needed to order parts, did so, lost use for about 4 days. They gave me a 12month/12,000 mi. warranty, thats it, couldnt get any more. My warranty up in 11/01, now im glad i bought the ext. warranty.
