Question shudder at 40-45

New to the post and glad I found you guys (and Gals!)
Question: I have a 2000 with the 4.6/auto combo. When I accell., the truck seems to shudder at the 40-45 mph range. Even if I set the cruise in that range it stays. Its almost like the rim/tires are out of ballance. That is what I thought it was at first but several of my buddies say that they have had similiar shudder at that speed range. They said it was in the transmission but I have no clue!
Any help and experience would be very helpful!

Thanks!

Sounds like you need to change the transmission fluid and filter. This solved the problem in my 97 F-150 Lariat.
