Question 97 F150 5 speed hard to shift.

Having trouble shifting, really have to work it from 1st to 2nd. Any ideas ? Trans has been reg. serviced and fluid level is OK.

Search through past threads, there have been many discussions and a few heated debates on this subject.

From what've heard is that it's the sycnrhos. What I do is when I have a hard time shifting into a gear, I'll shift to a different gear then to the one I want. Generally works.

still to come: new spark plug wires, new rims and tires, maybe a supercharger eventually.
