SuperCrew tranny thunk II

After the recent round of attempts to fix my tranny, I received a routine follow-up survey from Ford in the mail. I completed the survey and attached a letter explaining the problem in more detail. Within two weeks, I got a call from Ford's customer care center following up on the survey. The Ford rep asked lots of good questions and said that they would open an "unresolved problem" file and refer my case to the "main" tech center and to my dealership's service manager.
I told the Ford rep about this online forum and the large number of people who were also experiencing the same problem with their Screws. The rep finished up asking what I wanted/expected Ford to do. I said that if Ford couldn't fix this specific problem with the 4R70 tranny in the Screw (I've already had mine replaced) I would want my tranny to be replaced with the 4R100.
I subsequently called my dealer's service manager and told him that I had given his department a good rating on the survey but that I intended to continue pursuing the matter (at whatever level necessary) until it was resolved.
Although the thunk doesn't seem to have any impact on the tranny's performance today, I'm worried that it is causing wear and tear that won't become obvious until after the warranty period has expired.
Is there anyone out there with a 4R100 tranny who has experienced this problem? Thanks for reading this whole thing and for your help...it's great being a part of F-150 Online!
