redline vs amsoil
I'm doing the tranny flush and change to synth next weekend..
besides the price diffrence (12.99 a quart reline to 7.99 a quart amsoil) is there a big diffrence between these 2?

Not really a big difference.
Both are designed for extended drain. Both will do about the same as far as tempereature reduction, and component life.
I would say the price would be the biggest difference.
You can even get the Amsoil stuff cheaper than the list price! So you will even save more.

HI!... PATRICKJP : I've used RELINE synthetic fluids in all my trucks. It's expensive but I love the stuff and have never had a trannt failer since I have been running their product. Here in CANADA, I paid $15.00(CAN) per liter, and I usec 14 liters in my truck. I have no opinion on AMSOIL because I've never used it. REDLINE is a good product though, in my opinion.

I have used nothing but Redline products in all my trucks and sports cars for 12 years. Great products.

expensive, but this is'nt like an oilchange where I'm payin this kinda $$$ every 4k
just curious, how often does the tranny fluid get changed with redline synthetic (normal every-day driving)? the manual said first change at 30k

You can get good info about Redline products at redlineoil.com. Their Tech dept is also very helpful.
